lets get healthy!

so my weight is borderline underweight which im not proud of and havent been proud of for the past 5 years. can u believe in the past 5 years ive only gained 5 kilos! and that isnt intentional.. in fact i want to be a healthy chubby girl ^^ however.. enough of fantasizing, its time to take the bull by its horn πŸ˜€

so as a student in health care and health promotion being a huge part of plan to make our world full of health people i thought i’d give a guide that i myself am hoping to follow πŸ™‚

this healthy eating habit suits if your a generally healthy person without any significant dietary needs, for e.g. diabetic, low fat, high protein, low carb etc and if u do then u can tweak things here and there. this is a very basic and general guide and it isnt going on too much detail e.g. explaining what bmi is etc.

so first up!

1.check your weight and height

basically get ur (body mass index) bmi, are u overweight? underweight? normal? u can google bmi calculator to find out where ur at or for ur comfort heres a link that u can use :pΒ http://www.bhf.org.uk/bmi/BMI_Calc.html

i’m a 4feet 10 iΒ believe, and my healthy weight should be between 37kg – 49kg

what next? i want to gain 8 kg

u might want to set a deadline to achieve it by, however im not bothered as long as im eating heathily and achieving my nutrition needs πŸ™‚

2. check your nutrition requirement

basic tailored ones are available here,Β http://nutritiondata.self.com/tools/calories-burnedΒ i used the same one.

after filling up the data it gives me the recommended nutrition that i need.

although all are very important, im fairly focusing on achieving 3 of them via dietary route or vitamin pills. the main ones im looking at is the macronutrients i.e. the main nutrients that our body uses in large quantity.Β 

u probably guessed, they are carbohydrates (starchy), protein and fats (unsaturated is a good one)

4. diet plan

if ur confused on where to start, just google healthy eating weekly diet plan. My college tutor who was a dietician prior to being a teacher always stressed “our food doesnt have to be expensive to be healthy” its just the case of having food knowledge. these days we assume people are well educated regarding their food.. fried chips arent that bad as long as we take it in good portions.. and things like that.Β

calculate how much nutrient u need and then figure how u might achieve it during the day via diet or dietary supplements.

5. exercise!

I just got a good lookin pair of jogging bottoms πŸ™‚ and have couple of cute tees and a good enough trainers, which means im ready for a jog/walk/run.

also im hoping to get a bike soon and also achieve 4th eternal guideline for young women division by sensei which is “engage in dialogue to foster friendship and humanistic ideals”. im hoping by going for bike rides around hampshire with some girlfriends i’ll have plenty to talk about and foster frienships via dialogue.. πŸ™‚

reason to be happy..

Β 2. essay result – 2nd year of officially cleared!

so today i checked my essay results after chanting 6 hours.Β 

got 66 for one of them and 64 for another :D, pass mark was 36 so even if i got that, i’d had been satisfied knowing i wont be spending the rest of summer doing my essay! so when i got almost double the mark i was grinning and amazed πŸ™‚

little story..

4 days before essay deadline i did lilac for national student division uk.Β 

and i met at least two people who told me they were studying 10 and sometimes 16hour a day in the library since it was almost exam time. i drooled over the thought of.. working hard for a week and achieving 80%+ as a result πŸ™‚

last week a ywd leader had reminded me, great cause = great effect. basically what i heard was do lilac or contribute towards a huge sgi activity and effect will be amazing. for e.g. she used to do 1 huge soka gakkai activtiy before an exam day (great cause) and achieved around 90% (great effect!) ofcourse study too! using wisdom..

2. happy family

my brother is also doing very well in his final year of college, and hoping to go to uni. his grades are looking good for uni admission. he seems to be getting very motivated for a good career. his part time work in a restaurant is causing him to suffer due to staff tension and lack of appreciation. so he’s solution for himself seems to be to stop working this 3 months of summer :s duno how we’re gona afford him! my plan is for him to work somewhere he likes and earn maybe a Β£100 per month for his leisure stuff

my dad and ma seems in love with mutual respect for each other πŸ™‚ and both looks very cheery and deeply happy most of the time πŸ™‚ my plan is for my whole family to chant before december 2012 so that i can do 10hour of tozo in my own home with my lovely peeps! and also i want to open our family home for our members in my district to do lotsa tozos with many goals in mind πŸ™‚ maybe personal goals.. or to have 100 vibrant strong and deeply happy youth divisions and 100 strong women and mens divisions πŸ™‚ and maybe split the district so that during discussion meetings everyone can fit in the rooms hehehe and maybe a centre!! maybe baby!!

3. prayers being answered tomorow!

i chanted for two friends to recieve gohonzon by a certain date (cant remember the goal deadline!)

1 of my dear friend v is recieving hers tomorow!! she went through such huge challenges.. changed two houses.. a tiff taff with landlords.. in the midst of all that financial issues.. relationship issues.. and essays to do for her uni course! im so proud of her! she’s totally winning ever so brightly πŸ™‚

my other friend couldnt be convinced of the practice for now so she decided not to chant or practice consistently.. although a bit sad.. i know that since the seed is sown, it’ll bloom one day and she’ll practice happily again at some point in her life again πŸ™‚

4. tozos!

atm i have so many time to do tozos!!!!! im loving it! however chanting alone.. im struggling to do even 2 hour properly.. so im chanting for a tozo buddy πŸ™‚

5. summer dreams

my summer dreams is bursting out πŸ™‚ so many things i want to do!!
